In a bold step towards harnessing the power of artificial intelligence in nursing, the Florida State University (FSU) College of Nursing has joined forces with CHAI, a global healthcare technology organization, to introduce the nation’s first-ever micro-credential series on responsible AI for nursing. This groundbreaking collaboration aims to equip nurses with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively integrate AI into patient care.
The micro-credential series, which was officially launched in September 2022, consists of six modules that delve into the fundamentals of AI, its applications in nursing, and the importance of responsible AI adoption. Each module is designed to be completed in a short period, with the goal of empowering nurses to make informed decisions about AI implementation in their workplaces. According to CHAI’s CEO, the series is a crucial step towards ensuring that healthcare professionals are equipped to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI in nursing.
